AT THE FUTURE
Do you remember the drummer boy?
He is now an Americanah boy
Everywhere he went, there are beast of no nation
Living under the brown rusted roof of all nation
He believed the half of a yellow sun will shine
Then the purple hibiscus will blossom out fine
Even when ill winds blow with fright
Bringing memories of midnight
He knows the gods are not to blame
As a man of the people, he must set forth at dawn
Cus' if tomorrow comes
Then everything good will come.
