A SOLDIER'S DIARY
Of giant bugs sucking salty bloods.
Of scary vultures hoverying happily above.
Of gruesome sights baptizin innocent eyes,
Of shrieking children begging innocently for their lives.
Guns and bullets dangle around our premature necks,
Blasts and shrieks are our favourite song.
We bury souls deep down our hollow hearts,
Feigning bravery and performing our mastered craft.
Of empty bodies loitering no man's land,
Ranting silently in the language of the dead.
Of battered souls reeking of stress and pity,
wobbling helplessly to the fiery gate of hell.
Of powdered guns blaring frightening sounds,
scaring innocent children out of their belaboured skin.
War has never been about who is right except for who is left,
Guns are'nt programmed to think about who is gone except for who is next.
We are the pawn in this game of chess,
we bear your cross at the expense of our own distress.
No one ever wins when the goal is to settle the scores.
When we wouldn't make peace, our profiting becomes loss
