Fear is a feeling that is induced by perceived danger or threat. Today I'm going to try my possible best to deal with this unGodly attribute. Most people in the world today have accepted fear into their lives.
People have suddenly started to believe that fear and faith go hand in hand. The Bible tells us to fear God over and over again( Colossians 3:22 , 1 Peter 2:17 etc) and for some people they do not actually understand what that means. Fear of God refers to a specific sense of awe and respect for God and what he says. It doesn't mean trembling and cowardice. God never designed any of us to be scared of anything or cowardly. In fact in Genesis 1:27, the Bible says that God created us in his image and likeness. This simply means that if the Almighty God is never scared, why then should we exhibit fear? . The Bible states in 2Timothy 1:7 that God has not given us the spirit of fear but that of a sound mind. So if God didn't give us a fearful spirit, then the devil gave it to us. I don't know why anyone of us will ever accept any gift from the devil.
God expects us to act like him and not cower in the face of trouble, oppresion, persecution, e.t.c but to face it head on.
Don't forget that you are as bold as a lion. We are a city set on a hill and we cannot be hid. (Matthew 5:14)
