Reasons Why Many Don't want to be Committed Christians

Many are just not interested in Christianity or the commitments that being a Christian brings. We can't blame most of them totally because, we Christians might just be part of the problem:

Hold on! I'm not here to judge anyone, I just want to highlight some of the things that these unbelievers see, which pushes them far from our reach. I sincerely hope that every Christian reading this now, would learn from the article and affect their world more positively than they have ever done:

They see Christians as:

1. Saddists : No-one wants to be sad, everyone seeks happiness. So if everytime an unbeliever sees you, you are either carrying a sad face and frowning (Some Christians call it spirituality 😁). Spirituallity or humility is not identified by your sad face.

Heaven is a place of infinite joy, start practicing before you get there.

2. Hypocrites : Many would say they are better than many church goers, because church goers hide their sin, but they are honest with themselves. But hey, if truly you are a Christian, you should let Christ reign in every aspect of your life: school, church, home, discussions and every hidden actions, you never know which unbeliever would be inspired by your life ✅✔

3. Judgemental and Crusifiers : Bishop T.D Jake's said in a program I attended "In life as Christians, we have to choose between correcting people and connecting with them". I'm not saying you should not tell people the right things, all am saying is this; correct people in love, not letting them feel guilty or condemned.

4.  Fearful and Timid : The Bible says God has not given us the spirit of fear. Wait!  If God didn't give us the spirit of fear, where did we get it? 😶 (Topic for another day). Fear is like the opposite of faith. It cripples dreams and visions, destroys productivity and creativity. Christians are as bold as lions, come on! Jesus was bold even when He was in trial. Don't be afraid to speak the truth and what you have to say, when you have to say it. But do not be rude and brash.

5. Unsuccessful : Don't use Christianity as a cover for laziness, inefficiency and lack of productivity. It is not the will of God that you fail an exam, remain poor, dress dirty, look poor or suffer in this life or the life to come.

6. Not Knowledgeable: Especially the seemingly great philosophers and men who are considered very knowledgeable and wise, they often categorize Christians as not intelligent. Although earthly wisdom may be like filthy rags unto God, His people also perish because they lack knowledge. Start studying, expand your level of knowledge and influence so you can affect more people in different fields of study, don't get complacent and satisfied with your level of understanding. Seek to advance!
